Gods’ love in Genesis 3

In Genesis 3 we read about the fall of mankind where Eve is deceived by the serpent who convinces her to eat the forbidden fruit and Adam not reluctantly joins in. what stood out to me in the whole story was Gods reaction to the ordeal. He did not yell at them when he found out that they broke the one rule. He did not walk away from them and leave them or kill them. He asked questions. He listened. and after He told them of the consequences of their actions, he made coverings for them. Yes, God had every right to end it there. He could have shamed them, He could have disowned them, but He did not. He loved them like a good Father. As far as the consequences of their actions. the choices that we make always has consequences. good choices will result in good consequences and bad choices will result in adverse consequences. that is life. if you put your hand on a hot stove, you will burn yourself. if you stay up too late when you have to work the next day, and you end up rolling out of bed tired and regretting your decision, if you choose to eat right and exercise, you will stay in relative shape and have less joint pain as you get older(trust me, i wish i had!). when it comes to a parent child relationship, the consequences should be about discipline and setting your child up for success. like when God banished them from the garden it was an act of love. otherwise, Adam and Eve would have eaten from the tree of life and would have still been in sin eternally……….my prayer is we let that sink in. God chooses to love us even when we make mistakes, even if we defy and turn from Him. All we must do is turn toward Him again and He will receive us. It reminds me of the parable of the two sons that Jesus spoke of in the Gospel of Matthew.

Viewer if you are in a place where you think you have run to far off from God let me be blunt with you. YOUR NOT. YOU, I, WE can turn back to Him anytime no matter how long we turned from Him. He is closer than you think, ready to receive in His loving Arms. like Nike, JUST DO IT!

That does not mean our actions are not without consequences. sometimes its life, sometimes its loving discipline. good parents discipline their children, and our perfect father above always has our protection and interests at heart when he disciplines us. TRUST ME, I would rather suffer consequences knowing that I have God on my side. than not have Him.
